LS1 Powered 1978 Cadillac Seville
This 1978 Cadillac Saville is a single-family owned vehicle since new and is powered by a Chevy LS1 v8 from a C5 Corvette. This is quite possibly the first ever LS swapped car as the work was started in 1999, right around the time when the LS1 first came about. The car also features a 6-speed manual transmission sourced from a 4th gen Camaro, along with Koni adjustable shocks, and steering components from a 70’s era Camaro. The work was completed in 2002 by Ricks Rod Shop out of Casper Wyoming and has since been driven roughly 8000 miles. The car was also repainted silver after the engine swap, along with a new silver vinyl roof.
This unique sleeper has a very interesting story and is definitely something you don’t see every day. The owner inherited the car and always wanted something with 4 doors, reliable v8 power, and of course a manual transmission. Besides the E39 M5, no such car was easily obtainable at the time. The owner decided to build a car that would satisfy all those points. The car has been very well maintained over the years and comes with documentation of the build as well as service records.
